I’m sure most of you have heard Lorde’s hit single ‘Royals’, (personally, I drive Range Rovers instead of Cadillacs in my dreams but whatever), and if you are a Legends or Kansas City Royals fan, there are probably a few of you who associate the song with the ball club.  Well, believe it or not…so did Lorde.  In this link, Lorde tells us that an old 1976 National Geographic photo of George Brett being surround by dozens of adoring fans was one of the things that inspired her to name the song ‘Royals’.  (link posted above, written by Matt Monagan of MLB CUT 4)
